High-Level Overview

At Appcharge, game publishers can integrate their game-specific policies into the Webstore experience, ensuring that users are presented with the appropriate legal documents at relevant stages of their user journey. Additionally, Appcharge policies govern the Checkout experience.

  • The Webstore mainly features the publisher’s policies.
  • The Checkout experience is governed by Appcharge’s policies.
  • The Webstore includes cookies consent notices which are managed by Appcharge.

Cookies Consent and Settings

The Webstore interface will present users with a cookies consent notice, located in the footer. This notice allows users to accept or adjust their cookie preferences. Users can choose to accept all cookies or modify their settings as needed. The available cookie categories include:

  1. Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies are essential for the operation of the site, enabling functionality such as user interaction tracking and device-based actions. Necessary cookies are required for logging players in and ensuring a seamless experience.
  2. Analytics Cookies: These cookies collect data to optimize the website experience, enhancing the site's functionality. These cookies are not mandatory and can be adjusted according to user preferences.

By selecting "Adjust cookies," users can manage their preferences for both necessary and analytics cookies. Changes are saved by clicking the "Save settings" button.

Note: Necessary cookies are mandatory for logging the player in and cannot be disabled.

Webstore: White Labeling Your Brand and Policies

After logging in, users accessing the game’s webstore will be presented with the game’s Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions in the footer. These documents are specific to the game and outline the store's terms and data-handling practices. The documents are accessible via a popup, without requiring the user to leave the webstore.

Note: To display the relevant policies to players, the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions must be uploaded to the Appcharge platform. For further guidance, refer to Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions Links.

Checkout: Appcharge as Merchant of Record

At the point of checkout, Appcharge acts as the Merchant of Record (MoR) for all transactions. As the MoR, Appcharge assumes responsibility for payment processing and compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.

During checkout, users will have the opportunity to review Appcharge’s policies, which include:

  • End User License Agreement (EULA)
  • Privacy Policy
  • Refund Policy
  • Terms & Conditions
