Invoice Merchant and Statement Descriptor

Receipts are not only an essential communication tool but also a critical way to ensure transparency and clarity for players regarding their purchases. The following elements on the receipt and payment records help players easily recognize your game and company, reducing confusion and preventing disputes.

With these measures in place, players are reassured that their purchase was made with a trusted and recognizable entity, strengthening your relationship with them and enhancing the overall experience.

Note: For a detailed explanation of receipt elements, see the Appcharge Receipts documentation.

Invoice Merchant

The Invoice Merchant is the publisher's name as it will appear in:

  • The receipt itself (displayed prominently).
  • The email subject line of the receipt notification.

This ensures that players know they are being charged by a trusted and recognizable entity—your game store—rather than Appcharge, which may be an unfamiliar name.

Statement Descriptor

The Statement Descriptor refers to how the purchase appears on the player’s bank statement. This includes:

  • The Publisher’s Name: Ensures the player knows which company they interacted with.
  • The Appcharge Name: Adds context by showing the payment processing company.

This combination makes it clear which game or company the purchase is associated with, even when viewed outside of the receipt, such as on a bank or credit card statement.
